I came home tonight at around 6 pm. My husband and I are legally separated but still living in the same house. Makes for a bit of tense environment. From 4:30 to 5:45 I was actually in a meeting w/ my divorce attorney, who told me to let things flow naturally and to give my husband space. Oh - also - he has primary custody because of the fact that I am an alcoholic. So, I pull in the driveway as they are leaving and my daughter is saying "mommy come with us!" excitedly. Meanwhile my (separated) husband is glaring at me with the stare from the devil, saying "if you want to come, get in the fucking car right now" (nice invitation - right?). So, I decide to bow out and tell him to take her to dinner on his own, this turns into him ranting and raving at me. I said - listen - what purpose would it serve for us all to sit at a restaurant together? My presence will cost you an extra $25 and we will get in a fight. He says - your daughter needs you... She does not need to sit in a restaurant w/ me and him fighting!! Comments anyone?
