Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

From what I can see from my BB alcoholism is described as a hopeless sate of mind and body. So if thats the case if I have done the steps and had the spiritual awakening from those experiences and I am no longer in a hopeless state of mind and body then I have recovered from alcoholism like the BB said I would.

Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Alcoholism, is normally when a person became dependant on drink, and those that reach this stage need to abstain.
Some like to say recovering some recovered, I suppouse if you have cancer and then it is cured, you have recovered, but then if it comes back you have it again.
But for us we have a choice, don't drink and we stay recovered or in recovery, whichever way we wish to view.
Well thats how I see it, me I am and always will be in recovery

It is not Recovered VS. Recovering but rather Recovering AND Recovered.
"The main purpose of this book (12 steps and spiritual awakening) is to show people how we recovered." pg xiii BB. Thus I am recovered from my hopeless condition.
I am recovering in the sense of "what we really have is a daily reprieve contingent on the maintenance of our spiritual condition." pg 85 BB
