Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

at times I get chest pains. their on my left side, it is more like a cramping, or just uncomfortable feelings.
i use to have bad acid reflux, really bad, started taking priolsec and it has subsided and with a major cut back in the drinking.
anyone had them?

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
The left arm problems are now gone (since my original detox). The chestpains or pounding heart have come back whenever I've decided to drink again. I think that your central nervous system has trouble bouncing back to normal after ingesting alcohol (which is a depressant). Sort of a boomerang effect.
Its only when i go on benders, 2-3 days. i can drink once a week and i am fine.
It's really a sign that your body doesn't want you going on these benders anymore.
it's not my heart, I know that, it is just weird.
Forget about the drinking, I just need to eat healthier, PERIOD.
if im not drinking, im eating and if im not doing either of the two, im climbing the walls.
i need to eat better, period, and a lot of things would change
when i quit drinking for a month, and lost about 20 lbs it leveled out really quick.
i jus need to quit the shit totally for now, but is so damn hard.
if i had a heart attack or stroke thatd probably wake me up if it didnt kill me.
i use to have all kinds of scares with these chest pains and stuff like this, go to the ER, they'd clear me and id be on my way.
stuff would last 2-3 days then leave. i really think it is my acid reflux, but why not just quit drinking and not deal with it?
im a mess all around on the health front, what kills me is i use to give a shit, now i dont, not at all.
went from 6' 210 solid, to about 6'240 and not so solid, pisses me off, but keep doing what im doing
It stops when I drink, although Im not sure if it stops, or i just numb it.
could it be some kind of withdrawal?
I need to take my blood pressure, i will stop by the local pharmacy on the way home and take it, hell, i may buy a pressure machine.
I seen one, they did the barrum swallow, ultra-sound, etc....everything checked out good.
I think it is some kind of acid reflux.
i know the cure, its just doing it
Gee, stop drinking altogether and I'm now off my BP meds.
