Hi: My drinking has been under control for quite some time. In the past when I felt I was losing control,my shrink gave me naltrexone, campral or antabuse. Naltresone worked best last fall because it helped with my urge to self-injure. My therapist does not think I am an alcoholic, just a part of one? Does this make sense? I am 49 and have had struggles off and on with alcohol since I was 18. life stress is causing me to drink again. I used to drink rum and coke once in awhile on weekends. Have been known to bring it to work and did have some in car with me last december when i got stopped for a stop sign,TG the cops didnt suspect anything else. Now vodka with orangeade is my new thing at night with dinner, last night I mixed it with water ,had a hit then put the bottle on nightstand just in case I couldnt get back to sleep. What does everybody think?
