I have a son, an Iraq veteran, who is an alcoholic and drug dependent. He was an alcoholic before he enlisted, but was medically retired with Purple Heart. I don't know how to help him. He admits that he is a "drunk" but insists that he doesn't have a problem. He spends most of his VA disability on his addictions even to the detriment of his wife and children. How do I help someone who "doesn't have a problem"?
