Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I just wanted to share my experience with AA and substance free lifestyle. I am 26 years old, I had a bit of a drinking problem, I drank and drugged to seek relief from anxiety gain acceptance, self medicate, and hopefully accidentally die. I never thought it was a problem, my sister and my mother were what I classified as alcholics, not me, I could handle my booze. I loved doing speed, it made me feel invincible, and the friends that I did it with were normal and that was all that we needed. After several horrible events and 6 years of suffering, I joined a friend to an AA meeting for support.....
I can honestly say that stopping all of the abuse was the best decision that I have ever made. I am closer to my higher power, I am now learning to live like "normal people", and I have a few friends in the AA rooms. My anxiety has greatly reduced, and the urge to use is almost gone. I am just reflecting on what previously brought me so much pain has brought me a feeling of relief! and serenity?!?
Do not get me wrong, I definately still have hard times, but now I am able to think through them and make actual big people decisions! If anyone would ever like to chat or talk about their experiences or trials, I am glad to do so!
It does work if you work it!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
