I have a question

I am an alcoholic anorexic, I have gag reflux that causes me to yack. As well today, I pooped blood, (sorry if that is too graphic) I was wondering if anyone had this experience. I'm trying to figure out if this is an internal hemroid or an ulcer. So any help would greatly be appreciated.

hemmoroids maybe. was it black or bright red? I think fresh blood would indicate hemmoroids. I don't care if I am graphic here-when I was preggers I had hemmoroids and had bright red on my toilet paper. If it is internal I think it would be black. No doc here-go to a real one tommorow. THis is nothing to sit on.

You need to see a doctor and get checked out. Both alcoholism and anorexia can cause lots of health problems and no one here is qualified to diagnose what is going on for you and whether it could be something serious or not.

you are correct, blood can mean the 2 things you said, and there are other things as well... I would take it seriously, especially since your anorexia may complicate things. I know when I pooped blood they made me come right in to the doctor, no waiting at all.

This is something you really need to discuss with a PCP... passing blood can be simple or real serious. Does your PCP know about your drinking problem? Monday morning...chop chop... and tell them everything so you can get the best care! Good luck!

Speaking from experience as one who has many digestive disorders (see my profile) you need to see a Gastroenteroligist ASAP. You need to be completely honest about your drinking and eating disorders. Passing blood is almost always an indication of a problem. Don't mess around.
I have no idea if you have dealt with your issues as your profile doesn't say, but if you haven't you need to before you completely destroy you digestive system and other organs. You are young and you need to deal with these things now prior to permanent damage.

Actually, my blood was red, and it did turn out to be internal hemorrhoids. They found other probs with my grampa, and are treating them appropriately. Good luck!

    I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

    I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
