Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I opened a meeting tonight (Thanksgiving) at my homegroup. As the meeting began and I looked around a nearly empty room, compared to a regular Thursday night, a wave of gratitude and a new experience in humility came over me.
I sat and looked at the few people that showed up, people I knew well enough to understand probably had other things they could be doing at that moment with family, etc., and I was in awe. Here was a select group of drunks that put their lives on hold for our primary purpose: to carry the message to the still suffering alcoholic. Men and women that showed up when they had other things they could have be doing because someone might need their help tonight. You never know who will walk through that door - and eventhough we didn't have any new people come our way this evening. We were still there just in case.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
keep it up
