So i told you about our no alcohol on the property rule that my husband has agreed to. It has not been a problem. Things have been very nice around here. Just after Christmas my parents are due to visit. They are alcoholics who have been going through bad times financially and personally almost exactly like what my husband and i have gone thru. I told Dad about the no alcohol rule and he said, "perfect!". Sounds good. I think he likes the idea of a family get together where we dont go thu several bottles of rum and whiskey. But Mother remarked, "Dad told me about your plan. I just drink my red wine, if everyone just drinks red wine it'll be just fine.". This is bullshit because several bottles of red wine in a night is not for relaxation or heart health and does not ever stop there as she claims. I am not sure if i should push the issue about her beloved red wine if she must because i really dont believe she can go three days witjout drinking. Im also pretty convinced my husband and dad will surely sneak off to a bar or hide liquor because they love to drink together. Im telling myself that i hope they respect me and my wishes in my home but that i expect they wont and im not going to let it derail me.
