This group was created to explore various recovery paths for Alcoholism. We generally chose to explore paths outside of the AA model, or ones which incorporate, but are not limited to AA. Ashley posted about curing her cold. There were a lot of great replies, by the way, for all you sickies. It sure is going around - whatever "it" may be!
I had to read each and every one of the replies through. I just knew someone was gonna tell her to read her BB, go to a meeting, or refer to the steps.
Surprisingly enough, no one did!
Hope everyone's having a good weekend so far. I have to get out and get some X-mas presents here eventually - just kids to buy for, they're easy! And all I can afford. So dread going out into the madness, but I'm one of those that will put it off till the last minute - I'm determined to at least laugh at my own madness this year when I finally break down and get out there in it! LOL

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I made cookies for all my neighbors today. I decorated the plates with fun christmas stuff and had a great time. Those creeps better like my heartfelt gift. Oh, and I ate half my product, not good! My car is not running well so again we are stuck inside tonight. Thinking of finishing wrapping..... thats my excitement!
My sisters used to get together every year and make cut outs by the truckloads! I remember it being tons of fun. OK, lots of work, but fun too. We always laugh like crazy when we're all together anyway, no matter what we're together for.
Now my oldest sister buys a ton of them from The Cookie Lady (seriously, her business name) I have to admit, they're better than the ones we made and look all fancy decorated and all, she does an awesome job. I miss all the fun, though.
Funny, you say I'm a control freak. My last boyfriend was one. That's a story for another day.
Now, I know you were kidding - I hope, anyway - I'm deleting my own stuff, dammit, when I said I was deleting - not your ham salad posts!! And the SMART post - I was trying to delete "bump only" replies and "poof" the whole damn post disappeared!!
