Alcohol Recovery Without 12 Steps Community Group
This group was created to explore various recovery paths for Alcoholism. We generally chose to explore paths outside of the AA model, or ones which incorporate, but are not limited to AA. Anyone wanting to learn and explore how to become free from alcohol addiction are welcome. Our main goal is to support each other with compassion and decency, while remaining open minded...
Man, it's dead as hell around here - lol!
Thanks for posting, Kim.
It was a strange dream, and felt so real....It made me grateful, because I did used to drink and drive, not remember how I got home and wonder if my car was okay....how sad is that?
Iam grateful to be sober!!!
BTW, I have not drank and drove in a long time since my DUI about 6 years ago....that was awful, I dont even remember being pulled over, barly remember being in the cop car....when I got out my sister and I, once again had to go riding around to find my car....so messed up...I could of killed someone....the report had said that I pulled out of a parking lot,(not even sure why I was there) and was in the wrong lane, hit a curb and was pulled over....crazy stuff....
sorry to ramble...that dream reminded me of how sick I really was though...I never want to be there again...
like everybody else i feel great when I realise it was just a dream.
It was so real I had to look next to me in the bed to assure myself my 'real' world hadn't gone to hell!
Btw, these dreams have indicated nothing by way of relapse in my case. THey scared me at first-now they are a nuisance and an aggravation.
