I adopted Mia when she was 11 months old from Hunan, China. She is now 7 yrs old. She has by far been the biggest blessing of my life. However she is in first grade and I have great concerns with her ability to learn at a normal rate of other children her age. She is making C's and D's on her report card but the teachers say not to hold her back but to send her on to 2nd grade. I have join this group to find out if there's anyone else out there struggling in this area.
