My son, almost two is super active. Constantly moving, exploring & getting into mischief (doing things he knows that he is not supposed to be doing when he is board). He needs constant entertainment & loses interest in things so quickly. Compared to his peers is is always the one that needs to be watched, so as to not hurt himself or get lost. He always tries to run away and can't hold our hands on walks. I am very patient, but people (including my husband) ask me how I keep up with him and how tired they can get with him. He does have a lovely nature and if I ask for a cuddle or kiss he comes up and give me one, then quickly wriggles away, talking about something that he wants to do. He lacks fear about anything and is constantly falling over and hitting his head. He has always been a happy baby and gets easily excited about things. My husband made a lighthearted comment about him having ADHD. I had never considered this and only thought that he was a super active toddler, but maybe he does have ADHD. Now I am concerned about how this may impact his his development and I just don't know what to do or if I need to be concerned at all?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
ADHD does have its set backs, but it is not the end of the world. If he is later diagnosed with adhd, things will be just fine. Finding out earlier rather than later will be a blessing.
Best of luck.
Unfortunately, I could not have her diagnosed until she was six and part of me denied it up until then, even with all of the issues we had in preschool and kindergarten. The sooner you understand it the better and the more support you have from family helps. It sounds like you have a supportive spouse who would be understanding and that is great!
But your son is two, he's still learning. I'd say by time he's ready for pre-school and you havn't seen any improvement, or his speech is delayed or he doesn't take interest in learning activities, then I would ask his pediatrician.
I just don't want my kid to be the weird creepy kid in class that everyone avoids, when he gets to school. He's very sweet when he wants to be and can be a great leader, he's a Leo of course!
