Hi all, I had a Doc's appt' yesterday and he agreed that I definately have ADD but, he will not do a thing for it! He said that they(doctors) don't usually treat adult ADD and that the only thing to do is to continue taking my anti-depressants. He said that he has not read anything that supports the use of other meds. I have been on anti-depressants on and off for 16 yrs. and they help somewhat but not great. Right now I'm on 60mg of Celexa and 100mg of Wellbutrin everyday. I had told him that my hope was to take something else for the ADD specificaly(sp?!?) and ween off the Celexa, he said No! Does anyone know of good research or something that supports other meds (ie, Adderall, Concerta, Stratera)? My 16 yr old daughter is taking Concerta and it works wonders for her. And O.K., I admit it, I've tried them and have noticed a difference in motivation, drive, and attention, so I know they help! (please don't rag on me for trying meds without docs consent, I don't make it a habit)

I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
