My g son's teacher sent me a note home today which said,
He is doing some better but has a difficult time when coming and going. I try to let him do like the others but I often have to put him in front of me to keep him out of trouble. He has a difficult time keeping his hands to himself. He did well at P.E. until on the way back to the classroom. He pinched a little girl on the chest. So, he got the sad note. I am sending his uncompleted work home with him. He would not attempt one of his sheets. He sat in time out and when he came back to his seat he chose not to do it. Sat in time out 3 times today. Thanks for your help. Mrs.........

Which leads me to ask this question. How do I know that this is ADHD and that he will NOT grow out of it? Still waiting for an appointment to get tested at University Hospital. How do I know if he needs to go see a mental health person? Why does this sweet child act out by hurting others?

My daughter was very aggressive when she was young. I was so embarrassed. Once she tried to rip the legs off a dog. :( The evaluation is good. They checked her for learning dissabilities. If they are dislexic or can't see the board or the teacher, that could lead to frustration. My daughter acted much the same and was diagnosed ADHD but not until everything else was rulled out. The school can do most of the LD testing. I believe the have 30 or 45 days to complete the request for testing. The doctors did the ADHD testing after the school did everything else.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
