My son recently started high school and is having a difficult time transitioning academically. He came from a smaller school in which he excelled. My husband and I reluctantly agreed to send him to the public high school. I knew it wasn't for him. He is also having difficulty maintaining relationships. He does not accurately assess social cues well. He has friends, but mostly people he has known. He often "opens" his mouth and creates his own "ill will" with his peers. This has resulted in some bullying towards him...been discouraged since he is becoming so beligerent towards us...I know the age has to factor into this...
