ADHD / ADD Support Group
Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and attention deficit disorder (ADD) are more common than you might think. It is a syndrome that exhibits symptoms such as hyperactivity, forgetfulness, mood shifts, poor impulse control, and distractibility. Join others who suffer from these conditions and share your experiences.
For example, all the extra energy of a predominantly hyperactive person can be funneled positively into sports and extracurricular activities, allowing the person to enjoy being active and praised, instead of scolded and forced to sit. Often children and adults with ADHD have a high sense of creativity, especially those who are Predominantly Innatentive. All the daydreams can be transfered into artisitic forms, such as drawings or sculptures - allowing for the person to be able to think of what they want, and keep their hands busy in the process, creating a wonderful piece of artwork.
There are alot of advantages to having this disorder, all it takes is a little encouragement and support.
