Last year my then 4 year old was diagnosed with ADHD, Tourette's and Dysthmic disorder. We tried her on Ritalin for a few weeks then I decided medication was not the route I wanted to go on. She is now on the Feingold Diet along with some herbal medications and attends behavioral therapy. Recently though her "meltdowns" are becoming more often like two or three times a day whereas it used to be more like 2-3 times a month. I have no idea how to handle her at this point. I can't talk to her when she becomes obleverant...should I ignore her? She gets at a point where she hyperventilates, stifens her entire body, or hits herself. I have tried time-out, talking, screaming, threatening, spanking........I'm at the end of my rope!!
