Hi there! My son is 6 years old. He was diagnosed with ADHD by his councoler. He is taking Concerta 18 mgrs. a day. His father and I are seperated and we have joint custody. He tells me that when he is with him on his weekends that he is hyper with out his meds but when he is on his meds he is not hyper. Well when he is with me even though he is on his meds he is still hyper. Like for instance, he went to his grandma's and help her put up Halloween decorations. She told me he was all over the place. He had all of his spiders hung on the web even before his sister and her could even get started hanging theirs. She called me up and told me what had happened ad that I should have him evaluated again. He might need a med change. I talk to his father about it and he told me that he thinks the meds are working for him and we don't need a med change. I need some advice here. What should I do? I don't want my son doped up on medicine to where he wont have a childhood. If any one can give me some advice here or has had the same issues, then please let me know? Thanks again!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
My daughter was always "better at her dads" so much so, dad insisted that she did not need the meds. He said "I believe ADHD is a ficticious diorder and the meds make her a zombie." Well we just went to court because he was standing in the way of her getting help. In the end he was lying, she was not better with him. He would never tell me that. When her meds weren't working he would question me about increasing mg's. When she was with him he wouldn't even give them to her. He took it upon himself to butcher her 504 to practically nothing, behind my back. He always tried to convince me that the doctors and myself were "quacks". Now I have the papers signed by the judge that he has to follow doctors orders when it comes to her disorder. Because I had a new ADHD evaluation sitting in front of him, that he participated in. To the psychologist he admitted, she was the same way with him as she was with me. You know your child, maybe there is something else going on here.
