My 4 year old step-son is demonstrating signs of ADHD. His attention span is only roughly 25 seconds, he can't focus on one thing for more than 10-15 seconds, if he isn't moving or figiting with something, he is talking or making noise. His older brother and father both have been diagnosed with this, his father has since outgrown it. Older brother continues to take Strattera, he is 9 years old. Discipline is a constant struggle for the 4 year old. The only thing I have found to work is time-out in the corner, but the child can't stay in the corner the rest of his life! I have never dealt with a child like this. My patience is constantly being tested. So, my question....Is 4 years old too young to start considering ADHD?
