My son is now 5 and was diagnosed when he was 4. We tried the AdderallXR 5mg and it caused him to have the emotional tantrums...so then we tried Ritalin which made him violent. He went back on the AdderrallXR 5mg and was still having the tantrums, so he was upped to 10mg...however still having tantrums. He is perfectly fine in the morning but everyday around noon its as if the medication "wears off" and he starts crying, throwing himself on the ground etc. He doesn't do this around me however, only when he is at the sitter's house. He was going to be put on a non-stimulant at his last appointment since he FINALLY turned 5, however when we got there, his doctor informed me that they raised the age limit to 6. I'm starting to wonder if he has ODD (oppositional defiance disorder) on top of his ADHD. He is constantly disrespectful to most adults, does not take "no" for an answer very well, and is easy to act out if he does not get his way. He has already been "kicked out" of one sitter's because she just could not handle him. I'm trying everything that I can think of to work with him at home with his issues so that I can help the new sitter, but nothing seems to work. I'm getting phone calls everyday at work from her with him screaming and crying in the background and I have to get on the phone with him to calm him down. He knows what he is doing is wrong and that he shouldn't be acting this way...I'm to the point where I'm almost in tears everytime I think about it just with the stress alone. I have anxiety issues, so between this, my normal work-life, taking care of the household and taking care of the other two children its really starting to catch up. Any suggestions from anyone would be appreciated...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
