On new year's eve I received a letter from the Consultant Pathologist following my synacthen test (ACTH) on 3 December. 'The test on your adrenal glands has not returned entirely normal results and certainly you did not respond to a very low dose of the stimulant adrenocorticotrophic hormone and you had less than a full response to a maximum stimulation. I have discussed the results with your endocrinologist and we would like to review things in 3 months time to see if there is any clear pathology emerging here. It is certainly not clear cut at the moment. The tests on your pituitary hormones showed very normal results.' Does anyone have any thoughts on this please? I am weak, nauseous, thin and tanned in parts. Look forward to your comments.
