Hi there! I had a ACTH Cortisol / STEM test done last week...and one other I can't recall. That was last Wed and it has been over a week....how long do the results normally take? I was sent for the test by my GP. I have had Hashimotos for 3 years and recently had a blockage in my bowels, fluctuating BP, weight fluctuations, migraines, irritability beyond normal, anger issues / mood swings (really bad), loss of hunger, too tired to eat and getting out of bed feels like an accomplishment, joint pain, severe acne...as in I have it as bad as a teenager and dr recommended accutane. My cortisol level came back at a 3 when I went for my bloodwork initially which is why with my combo of other symptoms she sent me for the ACTH test. I now feel worse than I ever did before I was diagnosed with Hashimotos. Do any of you have any thoughts on this? Anyone else have Hashimotos and Addisons? Is it hard to cope with it or once you have replacement hormones do you feel better? I guess what I mean is do you still live like you did pre-diagnosis???? AND does anyone know the length of time to get results? What tests follow if ACTH / stem comes back abnormal?

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
