Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.

My mom was recently diagnosed with essential thrombocythemia.She was given hydroxurea. now they say that has bad effects on kidneys.So they changed meds to agrylin.She asked what would happen if she stopped taking meds.They told her she could develope AML.Did it happen like this for anyone else?

No i was jsut not feelign well for a while and the doctors took bloods and a week later my mum got a phone call asking if we could go to the doctors and i was told that i had AML then.

I was the same way. I had flu type symtoms and I was tired all the time

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps.
