i never wear makeup or anything, skin too sensitive. but i don't get some things. if my skin is oily all the time, and i put moisturizer on, what do i do when it feels more oily from the moisturizer? i had my makeup done for a wedding, and the lady told me i HAD to use moisturizer all the time, because it protects your skin. but it just makes mine feel more oily, so how is that helping? also, the toner thing, i don't get it. if you've just washed your face, why would you need to clean it again? and what do i do if my face is oily in the middle of the day? do i wash again? can i just use toner by itself? do i need moisturizer again after either of those options? these are questions i have always wanted to ask, but never had the right people to ask. help!!!!!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
The thing with toner is that cleansers do not always remove every bit of dirt from your skin. If you swab some rubbing alcohol over an area of your face a few times you will see that it will remove more gunk that the cleanser missed. Again I would recommend a mattifying toner also. My mother got me a 3 step line from Lancome and it is amazing. I can send you more info on that.
i have no idea what toner does, i don't use one.
When my face is oily (many times a day) I blot but eventually have to reapply powder. I just use regular paper- printer paper, or post-its are my favorite, and trust me it works better than the ridiculously thin oil-absorbing sheets the cosmetic companies want you to buy! Blotting has now become such a habit, the fact that I have to blot doesn't bother me as much as it used to . Hope this helps!

I also use Clinique superfit foundation. I'm reasonably satisfied with it, but I don't know if there's better out there or not because I can't afford to try a whole bunch of different kinds!
Toner/astringent has always made my skin break out more. I think it strips away TOO much oil, triggering my skin to produce even more.
My favorite face soap is Clearisil Daily face wash.
