Has anyone been able to relate their diet to acne? I have done a lot of research lately that claims that what you put into your body really affects your skin. I do believe this to some fair extent.
I know that when I drink caffeine, I literally break out within hours. In college I worked in coffee shops where the coffee aromas would filter into the air and I wound up with severe breakouts on my chest and back.
I also suffer from elevated levels of stress and anxiety which will under extreme conditions like an emotional breakdown, cause me to wake up with a severe breakout by the following morning.
I might be able to adjust to compromising caffeine but I cannot wholly live without dairy and sugars. So I guess my big question is, has anyone been able to associate foods, particularly sugars, with acne?
