My accident is currently involved in an intense investigation against the man who hit us. It was very clear the accident was his fault but the Distict Attorney's office investigated at the site for several days later. No one was killed in our accident but there were 6 children involved and my son was in danger of losing his life for the first 24 hours. We have reason to believe that maybe the guy who hit us was under the influence of something like alcohol or cocaine. We have been in contact with the police but they can't disclose anything because they don't want to jeopardize anything. My questions are this: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO FORMALLY BRING CHARGES AGAINST SOMEONE AND THEN AFTER THE CHARGES, HOW LONG UNTIL HE IS GIVEN A PUNISHMENT? It has been almost 6 weeks and this guy is still driving around (in a new truck similar to the one that hit us) and back to work. I am still laid up at home and can't terrified to get behind the wheel, therefor I haven't even looked for another vehicle. I really want to see him off of the road. Anyone else experience anything like this?

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
