Whenever I get into a disagreement with someone else or have an opposing view which causes me to feel angry or disturbed, I need to find just what it is that is disturbed in me. When I first sobered up my sponsor pointed me to Step 10 in the 12 and 12, when I got to Step 10 in my formal journey through the Steps with her.
If I practise spiritual principles it diffuses many potential difficult situations and I find that life runs much more smoothly if I am courteous and considerate. I need always to look for my part in a situation so that I can find my way back to feeling at peace.
It works and leads me away from resentments, when I do this daily and in all my affairs.
