Following on from donttreads reply in another post, I just thought I'd ask this question so we could discuss it. In my humble opinion the steps are mandatory to joining AA, otherwise there seems little point in attending meetings or going to AA. You could just as well sit with any other group of people who are not drinking and call it a group of AA! Surely the whole point of AA is to do the steps and have a spiritual experience which gets people recovered from the mental craving that real alcoholics have?

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
