When my niece was small and she would want something and her mom would have no cash on her my niece would say write a check. My sister told her if you wrote a check and had no money you would go to jail. They were shopping in Sears one day and sis pulled her checkbook out to pay. My niece started screaming and crying Mommy no no don't write a check I don't want you to go to jail. My poor sister you would have to know her she was mortified.
