ON DEXEDRINE FOR 30 YEARS WITH NO IDENTIFIABLE NEGATIVE EFFECTS. PREDICTABLY, OVER THE YEARS, THE DOSAGE HAS INCREASED. AT THE PRESENT TIME, I TAKE 90 MG. A DAY. THE SLEEP NEUROLOGISTS SAY THIS EXCEPTIONALLY HIGH DOSE IS "WELL TOLERATED" AND I LARGELY AGREE AS I AM FUNCTIONING MORE OR LESS EFFECTIVELY WITHIN THE PARAMETERS OF MY CURRENT LIFFESTYLE. UNDEMANDING LIFE

HAVE BEEN TAKING DEXEDRINE SINCE I WAS DIAGNOSED 30 YEARS AGO AND IT IS STILL AN EFFECTIVE TREATMENT FOR ME ALTHOUGH MY DAILY DOSAGE HAS HAD TO BE INCREASED SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE YEARS.

I was diagnosed w/ Narcolepsy 5 years ago, a few months after the birth of my first baby. Since then I've mostly been on dexedrine, which is the most effective for me. Slow release doesn't work as well and I'm slowly starting to notice an immunity to my dosage.

Works great. I take Dexedrine Spansules, which are better, I think. No crashing. I get insomnia though.

Modafinil works well on the sleep problem. Also have migraine (chronic daily variety) and doctors convinced case us modafinil. In "catch 22" situation as life without medication for narcolepsy is rather sad zombie like twilight existence. confused as don't feel doctors know how debilitating sleep problem is.

Worked for a while.....but we took me off of it because of the concerns related to my heart etc. Am doing VERY GOOD now with just Provigil alone.
