Worked very well for cataplexy but scary, to impossible to function, if, for example need to get up for child, use restroom.

In the beginning I hardly ever had to take my "stay awake meds". I definitely wake up a lot easier still.

At full dose over a year

Only been taking for three weeks, has been life changing. A few side effects especially since I don't use salt anyway.

I was ecstatic when I started it and was able to get 6 hrs! of sleep. Into the third titrating dose I began to have strange s/e's like blurry and double vision,crazy thoughts, every muscle in my arms and legs trembled. My Dr said it was the cataplexy breaking through to continue the dose. Well I stopped it for 2 days and all symptoms disappeared. Itold this to my Dr so now we are back to the lower dose and rising more slowly. I really want this to work.

Works side effects when i am sleeping

Developed severe PLMD after starting Xyrem, never resolved, then developed seizure disorder for years until I connected the drug with the seizures -- quitting Xyrem stopped the seizures. Strange drug.

Worked on alleviating EDS, but had a few HH episodes-which I had never had before Xyrem and more frequent and more extensive cataplexies. I didn't realize the Xyrem was causing these things because they would happen during the day and I just thought my N was getting worse.

Also so sad as this is not working after 5 weeks. Cannot tell if my ads is getting worse. Want xyrem to work.
