Xifaxan Reviews

Show: for
on my 6th and final relapse of cdiff i had 30 days of vancomycin followed by 2 weeks of xifaxan(which was the first time i ever took xifaxan) and i believe this drug actually helped rid the disease for good
really helps with diarreha
Works for about 5 days then starts to wear off and symptoms return.
Working / Worked
Reduces my lactulose dependancy. Can go with one or two treatments per day without severe encepalopathy.
Working / Worked
Without the Xifaxan my husband does really bad must use it in combination with lactulose to achieve somewhat desired results.
Working / Worked
For enchep..works, but causes constipation...not good, but tolerable
i have also been given this medication while admitted to the hospital, although most meds work better when they have u in an I.V i was not ever given it in a pill form?
It works ok
Read an article about it and tried it. Worked GREAT! And it is not a systemic drug so it just stays in the colon. I have used it 3x and don't need it anymore right now. It is expensive, hard to get the insurance co. to cover it as it is not recommended for IBS, but worth the hassle.
no nausea, not as effective as flagyl.
