It is very helpful especially if the attacks occur at night as it helps me to relax.

Xanax does have a positive, calming effect on a panic-stricken mind. However, I never use more than the recommended dose and I try hard to use it ONLY during emergencies. It is highly addictive. When I do not eat a proper diet and exercise, I've noticed that I get bad headaches the day after taking xanax. Also, I naturally wake up very early, but xanax makes me sleep sometimes 4 hours later than I normally would. I do feel a sense of calmness the day after I take it.

I works very quickly and with no side effects for me.

Was working great taking 3x a day then Dr. changed it to the extended release and it only lasted a few hours with me. Switched me to Klonopin which doesn't worked greatfor about a week...wanna switch back to regular xanax.

i have to cut my dose because i can't afford it, and twice my dose still wasn't doing what it was supposed to...

Down to taking .25mg...trying to get off it but would be scared not to have it at all.

Stopped because I didn't want to become addicted.

Try not to take it often at all - maybe 1/2 pill every couple of weeks.
