Valtrex definitely helped me. I was severely suffering from itching and unbearable pain. It hurt to walk, sit, stand, and pee. I started taking it on a Thursday and Friday I was feeling normal again. Valtrex is awesome!

I take it on a daily basis as a preventative. Even though my main "psychological" problem is Anxiety, I manage to only break out a couple of times a year, and never vaginal, only anal.

complete cure

It work extremely well in the beginning. There was a period of 7 mths were I was unable to get my medicine and it still worked but not as efficiently. I was takin 1 gm a day once a day and was unaware that I wasn't suppose to be taking sucha high dosage unless going through an outbreak and that was part of the reason it no longer work as well.

I haven't had a genital outbreak since I was 16. I stopped taking valtrex after the birth of my two year old. I still sometimes get sores in my mouth unfortunately.

Took it for a week. They cleared up for a day or two then came back with a vengeance. On second round of Valtrex. More pain this time.

I take valtrex once daily... IT is not a cure. It prolongs life.

Started taking during first outbreak, cleared it up and daily Valtrex kept me outbreak free for a year and half until I stopped taking it and got another outbreak. I began taking it daily again and have since been outbreak free.
