The only ointment that helps me the most if i apply it twice a day for about 3 weeks it subsides but without sun it will start to come back

when I have a dry patch, I apply the cream directly after getting out of the shower, and I apply a body cream (cetaphil) to my arms and legs every time I get out of the shower from October through April/May. I have been doing this for a year and have not had any problems. First time in over twenty years.
