Topamax is great for my PTC, but it does make me terribly depressed and mood -swingy, so my doctors added 20mg to 40 mg of Prozac daily to counter act the depression and stuff...I take 200 mg per day. Also, my teeth have been greatly affected by this drug. I have had many of my teeth removed due to abcessed root canals.

Worked. I was numb and losing weight and when I went off insurance I couldn't afford it anymore. Don't miss the numb/distracted feeling.

I think this has had the effect on my headaches yet. I'm on 100mg daily. The only side effects I really experience are the drowsiness and the tingling toes and fingers.

Very good for rapid cycling--has tended to poop out for me over time, and lead to some memory/cognition issues in higher doses. But still a very good med.

I currently take Topamax as a preventative for migraine headaches and it works wonderfully. I take 50mg twice daily. The only side effect that I have had is that I can no longer drink carbonated drinks.
