I am on Synthroid for the rest of my life after the total thyroidectomy.

I underwent a near total tyroidectomy to remove my thyroid. Radioactive Iodine was not an option due to the possibility of sending me blind,I had 2 operations on my eyes

had total thyroidectomy about 5 years ago have never managed to stabilise my bloods ever since treatment obviously different in the uk as we can only have sythetic throroxine

reduced my heart rate to somewhat normal, without tachyardia. but left me depressed as the day is long.

The surgery was horrifying wish I had waited. After I got out of the hospital my arms and legs went numb and I couldnt open my hands.I was back in the hospital getting calcium IV 3 days after surgery.I have some synthroid I was taking before surgery and I started taking it again because they havent given me anything else and my bp dropped to 60 over 40.

I had a TT for the treatment of Graves disease and pathology results showed cancer.

They did not get all of it might require a second surgery have to have another body scan sometime in april or may have to wait a year
