Carbamazepine is used to control some types of seizures in the treatment of epilepsy. It is also used to relieve pain due to trigeminal neuralgia (tic douloureux). I have been on various strengths of this drug for 14 years now,alone and combined with other drugs-currently Lamactil.It hasn't stopped them completely-but who knows-they could be worse without it!!!???
