Appears to be working, on its own I tend to have more energy, etc. every third week when combined with carboplatin I get weaker, but overall pretty lucky with the side effects.

I had taxotere the first time I had cancer and needed chemo. I think that is what made my hair fall out. One thing I can say about that is if it starts falling out in clumps or your finding it in places, than just shave it. It makes it less traumatic and than you can wear pretty scarves, wigs, etc. whatever makes YOU feel comfortable. And if you see someone stare at you, don't assume they are making fun of you because alot of times they look because they KNOW what your goin through.

Had one treatment of taxotere. Had a high fever, admitted to hospital. Was neutropenic and caught the bacteria causing necrotising faciitis. Had an above knee amputation of right leg. I would say it didn't work for me. Once chemo resumed was on axol.

I'm assuming this is Taxol. My CA-125 levels have progressively decreased. Had some side effects with each treatment, but have been able to cope. Blood counts (red/white/platelets) are still much lower than normal. Side effects include extreme fatigue, joint aches, some nausea, "off" taste in mouth, sleep irregularities, neuropathy of fingers and toes, and hair loss.
