(also known as Thyrax, Euthyrox, Levaxin, Eltroxin, Levothyroxine, L-thyroxine, Synthetic T4, Levothroid, Levoxyl)
Levothyroxine is a synthetic form of thyroxine (thyroid hormone). As the hormone is chemically in the L-form (instead of D, see chirality), it is metabolised much slower than physiological thyroid hormone, which has a shorter half-life. more at Wikipedia

Working / Worked
Had my thyroid removed two years ago.
Working / Worked
It helps me. Began alleviating (but not vanquishing) brain fog in a week. Helps my energy level.
Working / Worked
Of course it isn't working, what CAN with a thyroid that swings from hypo to hyper for no rhyme or reason?
Working / Worked
I am taking 112 mg tablets but am currently titrated to 125 mg. I'm allergic to one or more of the dyes in the125 mg pill but am okay with the 112 mg tablets. So I take one 112 mg pill six days a week and take two 112 mg tablets on Sundays.
Working / Worked
Too soon to tell.
Working / Worked
I just recently started having panic attacks and depression....doctor checked my blood levels and said I was taking too much thyroid medication. Besides lowering my dosage she also just put me on Lexapro for the anxietydepression. I have heard from a couple of people that hyperthyroidism could be one of the causes of my anxiety. I also have lost some hair and worry excessively.
Working / Worked
No side effects, I just ran out of money to afford the medication...
Working / Worked
That is my medication I have been on for almost 25 years
Working / Worked
Seems to be working
Working / Worked
We shall see. My family has a history of intolerance of the synthetic thyroid medication. My aunt tells me constantly that I need to switch to Armour Thyroid.
