I can't make a closed fist,my pinky knuckle sits back on my hand now,with 2pins,and a wire holding it together.This obviously left me with less strength in that hand now.

One of my injuries was a severed radial nerver which controls your wrist going up and down and your fingers opening and closing. I had a muscle/tendon transfer and got probably 50% movement back.

my surgeries were somewhat helpful but could not fix everything

Entire right side of my body was affected adversely and had knee replaced, need shoulder replaced now after major reconstruction but am too scared or the limitations and recovery as well as getting back on all of those drugs....My neck was repaired, my head injuriies are still wreaking havoc on me and I guess will for the rest of my life. THe mental recovery is almost the worst - anyone relate?. Id love to ehar from anyone!

i have had two hand surgeries. one to set the bones into a fixator, the second to try to repair the ulna nerve and put pieces of my wrist bones back together.

fractured wrist both sides, still not complete movement in it.

My ulner nerve was crushed when my bone healed. I will never regain use of my two fingers and they're constantly cramping and numb.

Surgery on my L2 / L3 worked great for a few years now the pain is back 10 times worse.

Although it has been over 4 yrs, I still feel somewhat less of a person. I have some difficulty in social situations. I don't have the body image that I would like to have.
