I am only 3 weeks out so it's hard to say. My insomnia is gone, my blood pressure seems to be normal (or low) again, and the edema is better. My arms hurt from the shoulders to my fingertips and I am really tired. This is probably cortisol withdrawal I guess.

1986 - Successful surgery!
Finally found the right endocrinologist and ultimately great neurosurgeon - Dr. Floyd Haar.
After 3 years on Parlodel it was confirmed that I am allergic to bromocriptine - it actually hardend my tumor. I have some post surgery symptoms that are treated with low dosage drugs on a daily basis. One indirect side effect was the hardening of my gall badder and subsequent bowel upsets. Natural herb supplements have relieved the IBS and my vitality has returned.

The majority of colorectal cancers are treated by colorectal surgery. The goal of colorectal cancer surgery is to remove the colon cancer and the adjacent lymph nodes which may contain microscopic tumor cells. The lymph nodes lie adjacent to the blood vessels. All of our operations are standardized to include the lymph nodes draining the section of colon being removed. We typically remove the pericolonic lymph nodes (red and purple) as well as the highest lymph nodes or N4 regional lymph nodes (green) to maximize the likelihood of cure.Dr. Blumberg has extensive experience removing cancers of both the colon and rectum via a completely laparoscopic "band-aid" approach.
