I had a heart attack Feb. 27, 2009. I'm 53. I was at home and had felt bad for a few days. The morning of the 27th I was in bad shape. I felt really lifeless. To make a long story short got the the hospital and sat on the table and with in a minute I was dead. They shocked me 11 times brought me back put me on life support and airlifted me to Lubbock Tx. Had a stent the next morning and went home four days later went back to work 11 days after heart attack. Dr. said remarkable.

I had 5 stents put in the same coronary artery. Second opinion thought it was a very agressive treatment. I feel pain in my chest - nothing excessive but am dealing with depression. Sometimes it is so bad I just want to quit everything. I just can't believe that this has happened.
An emergency placement the beginning of Sept. 2008

On 2/25/09,I had a heart attack, resulting with a stent being installed. While the recovery program is going relatively smooth,I am having terrible bouts of anxiety and depression,to the point of conteplating just terminating the meds and everything else related to recovery. Some days, the the whole picture regarding living in fear of another attack, just seems overwhelming and I start getting panic attacks. Is this common among survivors and if so,what can be done to get over this mess??
