About six-seven years ago I joined a singles social group and started doing some volunteer work. Both these activities really helped build my confidence and come out of my shell. More recently I've joined a support group to meet others dealing with shyness/social anxiety.

I'm big on isolation again right now, but before I relapsed with depression and ED, I trained myself to get better by going out at least once a week and then up to once a day.

Works when it can happen but it doesn't happen very much. My work schedule, finances and possibility of meeting people within my age bracket are very slim where I live. I do volunteer work but the social outlet for that is very narrow. I need to move from NC and have set my sights on September 09!?
