Mom has taken it almost for a year. Her doctor think that it helps but less than usually does compare to other patient. We are starting now to add Azilect. We don't know yet how she will react that is why I signed up to this support group to see what other people have experience.

I started taking Sinemet CR 200/50 3xdaily approx. 2 yrs. after diagnosis. It made a dramatic difference and controlled my symptoms well. After 4-5 yrs. of taking med , I developed bothersome to severe dyskinesia. I felt that the dyskinesia was harder to put up with than untreated PD. Thankfully, I was referred to a mobility clinic and was privileged to have a top notch neurologist who fine tuned my meds. I now take Sinemet CR 100/25 (one and a half tabs 6x daily} This controls symptoms.
