I had a shunt placed in my bad ear two years ago. It helped tremendously! The episodes became more manageable and less frequent.

Had a shunt put in after a bipass failed. shunt failed 3 times. The current one has lasted 10 years by God's grace. often get low pressure headaches (weather related) pain around the shunt, or abdomenal pain around scar area.
