Yes it works... however it can be very sedating. I was given 400 mgs and then released from hospitalization with no restrictions.... 30 minutes later I blacked out and cart-wheeled my SUV down a turnpike. Luckily I was seat-belted and walked away without a scratch. Have learned to be very careful on this med.
