I was one of those people with many annoying, painful and seemingly unrelated symptoms. I have seen many Doctors along my path to diagnosis.I have had my diagnosis for about 2 years now, and just knowing my symptoms have a name has helped me in accepting the disease.. I have tried many medications over the years, and i am finally find some comfort in the Rx cocktail my Rheumatologist has put me on. I still have bad days and painful and fatiguing "Flares" but I now experience more good than bad!

I am just starting with Salagen. It did help with the dry mouth last night (my first time taking it). I was worried about the side effects that the Pharmacist described, but so far haven't experienced anything horrible.

Before the diagnosis, I constantly had Tic-Tacs or something in my mouth all the time.I wore lipstick all the time, to soothe my lips. I drank a lot of liquids too. Then the dentist
asked if I had been diagnosed with Sjogren's? He gave me a sample pack of the Salagen, and some literature. He even called my Rheumatologist, and discussed his thoughts with her.
I have not discovered any side effects with the salagen.
