i use rubber bands when i have really bad days where i want to cut. and it gives me the feeling of cutting without the scars and stuff. it works but i wouldnt say it is the healthiest way of dealing with the self injury issue.

The snapping on my wrist makes it easier to cope with the "need" to cut. It doesn't feel as good, but it distracts me from the thoughts.
